Vegan Pasty Find: Sweetpea Baking Company
Although I have been keeping the tradition Orthodox Lenten fasting regime these last 40 days or so, it isn't like I've been suffering. Living in a vegan BFF city like Portland makes giving up all bleeding animal products parallel to a kumbaya dance. The biggest threat to this kind of fasting is always pastries, my arch nemesis. But that's the point, right? Sweetpea Baking Company's maple cream danish banishes that fear. Animal free tender croissant flakes and maple-creamy goodness? Blew anything mapley ever-loved before right out the door while I make friends with vegans and get Orthodox Christian blessings.

Oh, that does look tasty! I've tried looking that place up. Everything looks too good! Too bad it's not near where I live :(

Looks like tahinov hatz, that Armenian brioche with tahini that is out of this world!
Baked goods is my weakness. I wish I could have one of those danishes now but I have to abstain for a few more weeks - boo!
