Antigua, Guatemala
Traditional Guatemalan breakfast of fried eggs, chorizo, plantains, black beans and queso fresco
Followed by not so traditional breakfast beer (Guatemala's national beer: Gallo) and coffee
Elote custard pie
Farmers market shopping spree. Nutritious meals are coming my way.
Restaurant salsa served in Gerber baby food jar!
Windattack's strawberry banana smoothie in a garden cafe in San Pedro
I usually do not eat bananas, but I couldn't say no to "picked fresh off the tree," and orange with sweetness arranged on my Guatemalan style crepe stuffed with tropical fruit.

Oh that custard pie looks luscious! So jealous of your trip. I've never been to Central America or South America or Mexico. I think I'm missing out on some good eats and wonderful scenery.
Peter - Thanks for appreciating the vibe!
Natassia - I wanted to go on an international trip and it was 5 hr direct flight from LA... and subtropics - much needed after 3 months of cold PDX weather.
Helen - Good eats, but you are saving yourself from bad bugs! I am so sick right now :-(
