Wow.All the wild mushrooms ..my thing. And that provolone..mouthwatering:)Great job;)
The WF in Pasadena (the larger of the two) does a pretty decent fish and chips and it's only $4.99 (2 or 3 bucks off) on Thursdays. I was thinking I might do that today. Does the one there offer food like that? I've walked by it but didn't go in.
It was sooo great meeting you at fb conference in San Fran. The crostini is to die for :))

YUM! I am so excited for Thanksgiving...
Now that is a feast and every frame of it looks delicious. We, alas, don't have a Whole Foods in our area. You'll just have to eat for two. Have a wonderful evening. Blessings...Mary
Παναγία μου,τι νοστιμιές είναι αυτές!Μου άνοιξες την όρεξη μεσημεριάτικα!!!Φιλάκια!!
Oh yum! Our Thanksgiving celebration was last month but I can certainly go for another round. Being a sweets person, I love the desserts featured...turtle tartlet mmm!
Greg - I bet you could pull it off ;-)
Dzoli - Wild Mushrooms make me wild too!
JustinM - Ah, now you got me jealous because ours doesn't offer fish and chips. Sounds like a great deal. We go have the flying scotsman foodcart nearby who makes great fish and chips though ;-P so take that!
Devaki - Nice meeting you in Sf!
Melissa - Me too!!
Mary - Check!
Lenia - Panagia mou einai sosta!
Helen - What do Canadian eat for Tday and please don't say green bean casserole.
Anna, the Canadian T-day feast is very similar to the American. People have turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, brussel sprouts, pumpkin pie. Maybe some other pie too, like apple or pecan.
Growing up in my Greek house, we had the obvious turkey but with greek potatoes, my mom's stuffing, spanakopita, various salads and veggie dishes. But no pumpkin pie and no cranberry sauce because we didn't like it.
One dish I haven't seen here really take off is the popular American mashed sweet potatoes with marshmallow casserole. To be honest I don't think I'd enjoy that anyway. Not a fan of marshmallows :)
Helen - I have Greek T-day too! My mom, although she is not Greek, ALWAYS makes swiss-chard opita and we always have Greek salad (or salad with feta, heh). I don't know what's up with the sweet potatoes and the marshmallows... I never liked them... waay too sweet. What did your family make for dessert if not pumpkin pie, milopita ;-)?
