Maybe it's because everyone is either in Greece or taking off for Greece for their summer vacations that I'm feeling nostalgic. Last year during this time I tried my hand at
bread making. I wish I was there, but I moved to Portland instead, which is almost as good :) Coffee and Greece (and Portland!) go hand and hand so here are some coffee pictures from my last visit in February. The art of pretty coffees is not taken lightly in the motherland. Bring on the nostalgia!
Cappuccino Freddo, Costa Coffee, Panapistimio - Athens.
Cappuccino, Ski Lodge, Mt. Kalavytra
Marshmallow Mocha (I HAD to order this, it was just too bizarre!): Costa Coffee - Panapistimio - Athens
Frappe, Acropolis Museum, Athens
Hot Chocolate (Greek style), Centrale - Off of Ermou - Athens
Elleniko (Greek Coffee), Halandri - Athens
Cappuccino, Halandri - Athens
BEST FRAPPE IN THE WORLD, Centrale, Off of Ermou -Athens
My own Elleniko Greek Coffee, Philothei - Athens
Sometimes we don't drink coffee; we have tea, kardopita, ekmek and tyropitakias, Pangrati - Athens
Village Greek Coffee - Stemnista - Arkadia
Nighttime coffees: Monte Carlos, Kiato

Fantastic! This is coffee paradize!
Cheers,
Rosa
You're not going to believe this but I don't drink coffee in Canada. However, when I am in Greece, oh boy do I indulge. How can I resist all those decadent looking coffees? Don't you just love how they add a little cookie on the side? This is a great post Anna! Made me feel as if I were in Greece! Sucks that I'm not going this summer!
ohmygosh, some of these don't even look like coffee.. they look like dessert. More cafes here really need to serve their coffee with little biscuits or cookies
And I thought I was coffee obsessed! Wow! I love them Anna...(frappe in the summer is he best!)
Rosa - Beam me up!
Helen - You must get really jacked up when you're in Greece then, the coffee is strong! I love the biskotakia on the side. Ah, we can commiserate together since we're both not in Greece :P
Stuffycheaks - I totally agree about the little cookies on the side. It's a small touch but makes it all so much better.
Peter - And isn't it funny how frappes made my someone else are always better? I never like the ones I make!
Fabulous collection o' coffee!
Wow. Never have I craved coffee so much. Now I'm just shaking my fist. Why oh why aren't I in Greece?
Weezermonkey - Thanks :)
Sophia - I am thinking the same thing! Let's go!
Just returned from shopping and I am now enjoying my Greek coffee which is my favourite. Hope to see you in Greece soon. Pity we didn't know each other when you were at Pangrati. It is so near my house.
Damn you coffee fiend! :P
Ivy - Next time for sure!
Kung Food - :) You know it!
